Welcome to Surmunity!
Your welcome email should tell you how to connect to your account before your domain resolves. You will connect to the IP address and give your username and password that was listed in your welcome email. You need to put your files in the public_html directory. If all you see is an incoming folder, you are probably sitting in the public_ftp directory. Go up one level and see if you can see the public_html directory. If you can, then go into that directory and upload your files there.
If that doesn't work, let me know and we'll figure out what is going wrong.
