Re: Chat programs are NOT allowed

Kayla, Ancyru, and DewKnight,

I recently discovered that the java applet that ablenet.org is hosting for my sites contains some (optional, but they insist upon it) material that I find objectionable (namely some rude and obscene epithets that visitors can auto-use, that are very much against the site rules). I was considering hosting the applet myself somewhere. It's javirc5.4, and I've spent the day looking over the code.

Is it okay for that program to be hosted on my webspace, since it's just a java applet that allows users to connect to an IRC chat hosted elsewhere? I absolutely won't install it if you say no, but after finding some of the ridiculous things that Ablenet's staff added to the current applet, without bothering to ask me, I'd like to have more control over it.

Let me know, please.
