Open up cPanel and scroll down to the bottom, and find a icon named Index Manager. Click it. Find the folder you want, in this case pictures, click it's name (not the folder beside it).

There will be four options:
Default System Setting
No Indexes
Standard Indexing (text only)
Fancying Indexing (graphics)

The one in bold is the one you want.
