I used a lot of other hosting companies before surpass and all of them were just resellers. None of them offered me a chance to move up to the dedicated level. As soon as I saw that surpass offered collocation, I knew they were a real server company. The amazing thing was that the price was reasonable too and the support was not skimped on.
I've had a few problems as I've gone along but so far surpass is a great hosting service.
