I"m not sure if you are still looking for help, but manual is easy. I use Outlook 2003 without any trouble receiving.

For sending, my ISP blocks port 25, and I have never been able to get port 26 (alternate port Surpass uses) to work either. Gmail, and other webhosts have used ports that do work with my ISP. So I'm assuming my ISP is also blocking port 26.

I end up setting outgoing mail to ISP's Mail server (e.g. mail.isp.net) and then click more settings on tab for Outgoing Server check My outgoing server requires authentication, and Log on using my ISP user id/password.

For gmail.com I use gmail's mail servers incoming & outgoing, and check the requires authentication, but using same settings as my incoming mail server; and then under advanced using their incoming /outgoing port numbers. So Outlook 2003 works fine, it's just my ISP doesn't like port 25.

Note I am also able to send mail using port 587 which is what I used with my old hosting company. Maybe Surpass will support one of these other ports some day.
