First thing is first, make suer APF firewall is indeed installed on your server. From SSH, type: /etc/rc.d/init.d/apf start. If it says cannot be found, then it isn't installed and you need to PM me your IP address so I can install it for you, since there are various ports that have to be configured for your server to still work with websites and Cpanel.

As for which ones to block, that is something you need to study up on. Do a search on the net for DOS attacks and get to know the various different types (yes, there are lot's of different types of DOS attacks). Also, at SSH, type "man netstat" and get familiar with that program as it is your friend.

If you are undergoing a serious DOS attack, it is usually best to email us and let us address it since we have the experience to deal with these issues. Determining what is and isn't a DOS attack is not that simple.
