There will be no difference in the php code. You need to verify you have ownership of all files and folders after phpSUexec is activated as well as make sure you have no folders or files chmod write for anyone but user. (No 777, 767, or 776).

Just keep a list of files or folders that you have given 777 permission, then after SU activation you know the few files you need to change.
