Its come to my attention that my password somehow, keeps changing, and making it difficult for me to login...but just recently it started doing this:

After I reset my pass. It tells me to change it as soon as I login....Well when I go to change it, I get this error:

There was an error manipulating the password file.

Ive tried everything and It wont budge. And without me changing it I cant use my FTP uploader. So Im lost! Can anyone help me?
