My previous host was pretty bad with support. I'd send in a ticket, and the response (4 hours later) was "We are currently having issues with the server" Really? I wonder why I sent in the ticket.
They also were out of date on everything. They didn't upgrade PHP or cPanel or anything until I told them there was a newer version out there. (but I did convince them to install PHP 5 and a bunch of other things).
Also, FTP was constantly down.
The price was good for all the drawbacks. But I couldn't stand staying there, so once I got more money I moved back to Surpass... Yes, I'm poor... Somewhat...
The server was blacklisted as well, so I couldn't send e-mails to certain people.
I also felt I was the only one on the server, because it would go down for 3 days, and I'd send in an e-mail and they said "Thank you for informing us." And there were also a bunch of sites that looked like they were scams/spam sites on the server. And one time there was no memory left on the server.
