We are currently running an ecommerce (Xcart) site on an Australian Server. We plan to rebuild our site using CS Cart site and am considering signing with Surpass. I'd develop the site on a shared plan and then upgrade to vps or dedicated hosting once we go live here. We need speed and reliability.
A few questions:
- Will the speed of our site be affected by the fact that the server is physically located in the USA and most of our customers are in Australia?
- Any other Xcart/ CS Cart users here?
- Does the cart require any sort on server side tweaking for optimium performance - do we need to ask surpass to do any "special tweaking" on our server to get our site running fast?
- Are there any template/logo creators here -I'd like to source out the template design.
