(Article ID: 79) "Is it possible to block information from the Whois? It has personal information, my address, phone number, etc. I don't really want that public.

You have to display it for general public, as stated in the FAQ. Your information has to remain public in the WHOIS directory for your domain name."

When attempting to purchase a domain and hosting I do not see any selection I can make which adds another fee for the ID Protect service. It's critical to me I use a domain register with whois information protection, but would like to purchase all the services through Surpass if possible. Is there no longer ID Protect or am I not seeing the option about purchasing?

Thank you!
Hello,

ID Protect (which can also be known as WHOISGuard) should still be available. However, since Hosting and Domain Ordering are at different sectors, the hosting signup is only advance enough to allow domain purchase and domain lookup (for availability), but not the actual addons for the domain registration.

My advice (if you've yet to purchase the plan + domain combo and still wish to buy a domain registration from Surpass) is to buy your domain here. This allows you to have all domain addon options (plus more) by using the order form on the Surpass Domains' order form.

Once you complete the domain purchase, go buy your hosting package. You can do this buy clicking the "Order Now" link found in the service's page, in the plan's column. Once there, select the third option that askes "I will keep my domain at the current registrar, and update the nameserver only." Then you just type the domain's name in the first text box, and it's extension (com, net, org, etc without the period) in the 2nd text box. Then just hit "Next" and your good to go from there.

Hope this helped Come back if you have any issues still.
