Server Security issues with present webhost, Looking for a new Webhost
I'm presently looking for a new webhost due to their lack of attention dealing with security issues. 3 times this past year my index and home pages had line of html added at the top. This HTML consisted of an iframe containing a redirect to a Russian or Amsterdam server that tries to load a virus payload to computers accessing our website. This was not the result of someone hacking into my account as most if not all of the index pages on the server are affected in the same matter. This company knows about these issues but refuses to notify affected account holders about these problems when they occur. Tech support seems uninterested in dealing with the problem as well.
I have a few questions about Surpass before I choose my next webhost.
1. Is this vulnerability a cPanel issue? If so I do not want to move to a new server with same software.
2. Has anyone experienced this problem with Surpass?
3. I have three domains that point to the same account, two of them just access a different folder. Can these be transfered easily?
4. If cPanel isn't an issue, can my webstats data be transfered to the new host?
Thanks for your time and I look forward to reading the responses.
Rob
