Frequently Asked Pre-Signup Questions!

1) How long does it take for my Surpass account to be activated?
We manually review all orders so you will receive your login details within 24 hours. (This is to prevent fraudulent sign ups and spammers. This protects our servers and your service experience.) Thank you for your patience during the small wait.

2) What payments does Surpass accept?
We accept credit/debit card payments and PayPal. However, if you use a PayPal eCheck we cannot activate the account until it clears. Normally eChecks clear in 3-5 days. At this time we do not accept money orders unless they are yearly payments for dedicated servers.

3) Are there any other fees to host with Surpass?
- SSH is free on all plans except for OC5 and OC10. For those two plans there is a one time fee of $20.
- Whois protection: If you buy a domain name with SurpassDomains.com, Whois privacy protection is $20. This protection will conceal your personal details on your domain name record.
- If you run out of add-on domains on your plan, we recommend that you upgrade to a reseller account so that you can have private cPanels for all your domains. Otherwise extra domains are $10 each, but every plan gives many add-on domains so it is unlikely that you will run out of them. (Power has 30 add-on's, Max has unlimited.) Still if you do, a reseller account is better for an account of your size.

4) Do you allow resellers to oversell?
It is not enabled by default, but you can request this feature to be enabled via our helpdesk.

5) How many accounts can I create with a reseller account?
You can create as many as you would like, some resellers have created over 100. However at that point, your account may be using much of the server's resources if many of the accounts are generally active. We ask you to be responsible with your account and gauge the approximate time when you may need to upgrade to a higher solution.

6) Can I cancel my account at any time? Is there a fee to cancel?
There are no fees to cancel (or upgrade/downgrade) and you are free to change your account at any time. Our support page lists the different forms you'll need.

7) Can I host adult content at Surpass?
Any legal adult content is permitted. However, spamming and overloaded accounts are not.

8) Do you provide unlimited SQL databases?
There are no database limits on any of our plans.

9) I would like to move from my current host to Surpass, will I have to start from scratch?
- No, if your current host uses Cpanel, we are able to transfer up to 10 separate Cpanel accounts. If not, then you will have to wait for your welcome email and manually transfer your files through FTP.

10) Is there a limit to how much I can stream on a shared plan?
- No, just as long you conform to our Terms of Service. (No excessive HTTP connections...etc.) Although the best bet is to look into purchasing a dedicated server so you will not have any problems with other clients on a shared plan.

11) Can I have dedicated IPs, how much are they?
- Yes, $2 for dedicated, $3 for resellers, and $4 for shared clients.

12) What are Add-on Domains, are they seperate from the main website?
- Add-on domains are sub-directories within your main account that have domain names redirecting to them. They are not seperate from your main website, since you can still reach them via websitename.mainaccount.com or mainaccount.com/websitename.
