IMHO this is much better than your original plan. Thank you, Kayla - it worked like a charm! (I also love the way the new billing system has the ticket system integrated into it.)
EDIT: P.S. WHMCS must be fairly large - it's taking forever to upload. Only took 2 seconds - literally - to download but the upload has been going for 10 minutes now...
