We likely have thousands of people accessing their Surpass accounts at work and this is the first time I hear of such a problem. Sounds like your admin is a very strict guy.. and maybe he is assuming too much about the situation and our servers. But in the end he is just doing his job which is protecting your computers. Can't argue much with that.

cPanel does have quite a few ports open by default for various tasks - we would likely not be able to modify these settings to your admin's wants.
It would help if he would give us those lines from report though. Then we could say for sure what could or could not be done. Our abuse department is sent reports by the hour for various things. It's not a security compromise. If it's just something about *our* server and IP, then I don't see why he is protecting it so carefully. There's no reason to.
