So here is the plan (tech-heads, come post)

I have a router that is shooting out the net to me from another room via 1 cable.

I have two pcs. 1 Redhat 9, 1 XP Pro.

Both have ethernet connections.

I have also just recently bought another ethernet card that came with a short cable that I can use between the two.

(already you may have an idea of what I want to do)

I want to share the internet with these two computers, BUT do not want to just run another cable out of my room to the other room where the router is. So....

1 card with a cable
2 pcs, both equiped and ready for a Lan connection
1 cable coming from a router

I also have a hub somewhere but haven't been able to find it for a while now. I was told by someone that I should just find the hub, connect the cable coming from the router to the hub, and connect the pcs to the hub. That would solve my problem. However, I may allow the linux box to be exposed the internet as a server after I am able to do more than just turn the box on and watch the screensaver. So....any suggestions (say yes)?
