I wasn't sure where to post this thread, but I hope its ok here.
I would like to be able to host a friend for free at my website, and I want to make sure I know what I'm doing before I proceed.
What I'm planning on doing, is setting up a subdomain at my domain for my friend and then setting up their own FTP account.
Basically what I want to know is there anything else I need to do to host someone or is an FTP account all they need. Any extra advice on hosting other people would also be appreciated.
And this is probably a stupid question, but I want to be sure for the sake of my site's security... When I set up a new FTP account for someone, that person will only have access to the directory associated with that account, right? They won't be able to access any of my own files right?
