MySQL backing BIND, Apache, ProFTPd, etc...

I was wondering if anyone has tried to compile BIND, Apache, ProFTPd, and etc where it uses MySQL to store the information.
I've heard that there are some benefits, like no need to restart apache or bind when adding new information.

So I was wondering if anyone was using it, and if so, how hard was it to setup?
