Google Apps question
I'm trying to setup Google Apps on my domain so I can use Gmail as my webmail and then have Thunderbird setup with IMAP. Currently, I have Thunderbird setup as POP3 and have to use SquirrelMail or whatever if I need webmail away from my laptop and I'd rather have the Gmail interface.
Now I am a total noob at this stuff so perhaps I'm missing something obvious.
I use Surpass Hosting and my domain is registered through Surpass. When I login to surpassdomains, I go to Manage and then Edit DNS Records. However, it tells me I can't change the MX stuff unless I use default nameservers. If I use default nameservers, my website and sub-domains go bye-bye. We tried changing the nameservers to default and it did let us enter the MX info from Google, but then none of my pages worked so I put the DNS that came in the e-mail when I signed up for hosting back in and my sites came back.
Any ideas?
