Help me get the most out of my email service, please!

I have been a member of Surpass for a little over a year now and overall pretty pleased.

Email has been the bane of my time here though. I'm thinking it could be me, but then again everything was working great while I was with .Mac so I'm pretty sure it isn't me. However, I'll tweak what I can to make sure I don't have to find a new email server.

Stats: Power Shared account on SH121, 18 Email accounts through three domain names, Low total volume of email in and out of the server, Mail being checked by a max of 6 machines at a time though it's normally only 4 and all through IMAP (My phone, my wife's phone, both of our laptops.)

I have had my account shut down and turned over to Abuse twice for spamming because I check my mail too much. When asked what the issue was they said I was blasting the IMAP servers and was spamming! (I can assure you this is why Surpass doesn't give out phone numbers because I would have been all over the poor soul who answered the phone!)

My email consists of two businesses and one family domain. The family domain is the big one we use since the businesses are fairly dormant right now, though picking up. I regularly get messages from some corporate email servers that my mail was rejected or refused.

A great example is right now I can't email my church for some reason. It's as though my account has been totally blacklisted at the church. Problem is I do a lot of the web stuff like podcasting and content updating for the church and really need to be able to communicate with them but can't get a church address because I'm not staff.

So what am I doing wrong? What can I do to make sure I don't have any more issues with my email? Do I need a certificate or something like that? (I have only a vague idea of what a certificate is actually used for.) If .Mac never had an issue with my phone, my wife's phone and our two computers checking email every 15 minutes then why does this server/hosting? This isn't very extreme considering I'm told I have the ability for unlimited email accounts. I'd be afraid to put any more accounts up for fear of having my account just deleted out of your system like a Nigerian!
