LCD monitors have a fixed number of pixels. Setting to anything but "native" mode will give you "poop".

So, if you have a 19" monitor that has 1680wx1050h pixel count, that's what you set the card for. Otherwise, the monitor has to "anti-alias", which blurs everything.
