I moved to Surpass Hosting in January of 2006 with two domains on two separate accounts (long story). My previous experiences with two other hosting companies in the past were bad. My first host did not interact with me at all except when they wanted money. My second host started out great with all kinds of interaction, contests, support, etc., but it all suddenly came to an end.
Over 2 years later, I've expanded to 4 domains. Yes, I've experienced downtimes, problems, and messups. Not frequently and probably not out of the ordinary no matter what host you use. Yes, I've gotten ticked off and threw little tantrums. But the team at Surpass Hosting has always come through for me and fixed up all the issues. In shared hosting land, crap happens, Surpass always cleans it up, usually in super-fast time too.
My only real complaint has been that I sometimes wish we were more informed about the status of our issues when we have them. In reflection, perhaps I have become spoiled, I dunno. The staff I've met here have always gone out of their way to help me, I think they just get swamped sometimes. They are all great, knowledgeable people.
I used to be on SH91 (from 2006 until this month) and since then I've consolidated the two accounts I had on SH91 into a single, larger account on SH142. I only know about the shared hosting service that Surpass Hosting offers.
Shared hosting has been provided at a reasonable price with good service. And they are tolerant with angry customers.
