Until I came here I'd never thought about a reseller account but after one of you fine people pointed out eNom accounts for your customers, I then started to research.
First of all I can't believe how much money I've wasted over the years on paying full price for my domains.
Anyway with my current host I have the following:
.com - 7
.co.uk - 15
.net - 12
.org - 2
.info - 3
.eu - 1
And a few more with other hosts, but for now we'll deal with this one.
From what I see eNom don't do .co.uk and ResellerClub is about as cheap as registering at full price in the UK For .co.uk it seems I may need to use these:
Easynic Product Price List - Up to date pricing for all our services
Never been a fan of easyspace, but oh well.
So from the 3 - ResellerClub vs GoDaddy vs eNom - Which is probably the best at what they do (not price, I can see who's best there myself). most people at WHT -
Web Hosting Talk - The largest, most influential web hosting community on the Internet - seem to favour ResellerClub
My next question is about cPanel/WMH, I've never really used either of these before.
But I've heard many things, so my questions:
Can customers order domains through these?
Someone mentioned billing in another thread, can these handle this too?
If so is there an api or a way to have a customer order a package and be signed up automatically with account permissions?
I presume customers could play with their DNS & MX records? And Sub Domains?
If a customer can order a domain name through them, I presume I could set it up to use different providers, easynic for UK's and one of the others for the rest, or perhaps per domain with different providers?
Normally I deal with these things manually, I've looked at other automated solutions before but never gone with any of them.
Thanks for enduring my never ending threads of boredom.
