DashWire

I recently discovered this program, and I am still being amazed by it.

I heard about it from the Kim Komando cool site of the day, and it sounded pretty neat so I decided to install it and test it out.

Their website says:

No cables or effort required. Easy.
Sounds pretty cool right? So I install it, and it starts to sync my stuff. I check out my Mobile Dashboard and see that my contacts are popping up, my text messages, etc. And then it says sync complete. So I'm reading deeper into some of the features on the dashboard.

When the service is running and connected on your mobile device, you can do most of the things you do on your phone, from the web. I can send and receive text messages through their web interface. I get terrible cell service in my basement (where my computer is), so I leave my phone upstairs and run the Dashwire program. I have Mobile Dashboard open, and it chimes when I get a new message. I read it, and reply to it right from their site. Seamless to the recipient because Dashwire sends the data back to your phone, and then out to them.

I was talking to a friend on Facebook and he gave me his new cellphone number. I created a contact on my Mobile Dashboard and it goes directly to my contacts in my phone. I can also manage photos, video, favorites for my web browser, ringtones, speed dials, tons of stuff!

Currently I believe it's only for Windows Mobile, but they are working on a Blackberry edition. It's a really cool program for anyone with a smartphone that hates syncing to ensure you have your stuff backed up. No wires needed, just a data plan for your phone.

They suggest having an unlimited data plan, but they also suggest that you leave the application running 24/7. I run it once a day and leave it running only when plan to use the remote text messaging deal.

Check it out!
