Just a suggestion:
A forum and/or mailing list, private or otherwise, specifically for Dedicated Server users and/or resellers. This forum could be updated with info on what kinds of things are being done to the servers (shared or dedicated) that will eventually affect resellers and users dedicated servers.
Why would this be important? Well, from a reseller's standpoint, it's important for us to know what we're offering our customers, and when any of that is subject to change. I spent quite a bit of time building up a section of my hosting site dedicated to Scripta, including full descriptions of all programs and forum/help links for each application. I was planning on really pushing the Scripta thing to help push customer sign-up. The work itself isn't a huge deal; I can re-use the layouts & framework for the Fantastico replacement.
There are, of course, other issues.
I can only imagine the problems a reseller would have if that'd happened to a finished site of theirs. An unannounced pull of Scripta could hurt, especially if it's thrown at them unexpectedly. Fantastico is a great, stable replacement, but having to scurry around to reconfigure a substantial part of one's business is a scary thought.
This doesn't just apply to Scripta/Fantastico, though. There are numerous issues that could pop up at any time. Even a short notice would be helpful, just to let us know what's coming so we can prepare for it. Browsing the forum helps some, as well as taking a good look at the server every so often. But having a forum and/or mailing list for dedicated & reseller news would be invaluable to us, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people would stand by me on that one.
Thanks for listening,
