Suggestion: Allow guest browsing.

References to the forum for a source of information are made throughout the surpass main webpage. However, guest browsing is not allowed. This means it is inconvient for users interested in your services because they have to login to view threads related to there interests. I think it would be a good idea to allow guests to browse the forum contents, or at least some of the more general forums.

There is a reason guest browsing was turned off. From what I understand it was because the number of guests (as well as the google bots that visited) was slowing down the performance of the forum and causing errors for the people that frequented here. Not to say that it shouldn't be turned back on, but that there was thought put into the action.

I though as much, because I had been to the forum in the past and it required no login. However, less references should be made to the forum if the forum is not openly viewable. That is my opinion anyway, because I myself hate having to register to forums, etc, without first being able to view there content, to see if they are worthy of registration. This means that there is a chance some potential customers will be lost simply because they do not want to put in the effort of registering for a forum to get more details. They shouldn't really have to either.

Of course, that is my opinion. I eventually signed up, but I would have prefered not too, and not having to login to reseach further what surpasshosting offers.

It's funny to mention that now actually, we just created a new FAQ www.surpasshosting.com/faq and there won't be any more links on the support page that refer to the forum. Every link will go to a page in the FAQ instead.

I kinda like the having to register and sign in idea, as a Surpass customer it makes me feel a little more secure in my posting of hosting issues.

theres definite pluses and minuses.

the forum is for Surpass customers to colloborate and interact. so, registration makes some sense.

i also believe that once people cross the registration threshold - and there aren't that many questions to answer to registers - they get right to the matter and ask questions and share.

That's what I was going to say, have the testimonials and maybe even preorder questions sections available for guests to view, and post in the preorder question section.
