Trademark Violation?

Due to recent forum surfing, I saw that one server, Google, and thinking about the name concerned me. Is this a trademark violation by using the name "Google"?

Google

Not trying to tell Surpass how to run their business, just concerned :/

The Google server has been around a long time, with no problems. Maybe it doesn't know that it exists. If anything, it seems more like free advertising to me. Trademark is a very iffy thing on the internet, I've found, being as the internet transceeds international borders. I don't think it's something you need to be concerned about.

Before Google used the word Google, "google" was a silly word often used to describe eyes. Like how Surpass is a word. If someone wants to name a server "Surpass" that should be ok as well. Trademark stuff really irks me.

From what I remember from years ago, google means a number with 100 zeros behind it.

That's googol (which is what they meant to call it) D...

besides, them naming a server Google is nothing in the realm of deceptive practices. By using that name, no one is going to think that Surpass is tied to Google (then again... with some people you never know)

besides, think about the number of domain names with adsense in them that exist, and lots of them even have adsense ads on the site. There's even a website googledomains.com that is using Google's Adsense for Domains service.

Why is every other person a trademark lawyer these days? Mind your own business, folks.

Ah, good point. I always forget about the spelling difference.
