Just sent this in for a client's review. Hoepfully he likes it and chooses it

He wanted a Borat Proxy style design with it looking in a "poor" condition, meaning such things as broken-object looking graphics. Here is what I came up with:

how did you make tape! i've always wanted to make that but I've never found a satisfactory tutorial or anything of the likes

Actually, I'm wondering why this is in "Questions Before I Sign Up"... did I put this here or did it get moved 0.o
The tape is easy, but also takes some work. I've modified a basic tape base I made to add a pressure-stick illusion on it. Basically, I used Burn and Dodge tool on it for that :P

Anyways, to make tape, you've gotta first...

+ Make a rectangle, using the marquee or shape tool.
+ Use either the marquee tool (the lasso) or eraser tool to the slim sides of the rectangle, making a ripped-looking effect.
+ Now, you could (as I have) make a stroke (border) for the tape of either the same color or something lighter/darker (depending on the environment colors of the tape).
+ Now that you have the base of the tape, you've gotta give it a transparent feel (unless it is construction or duck tape, of course)
+ You could use the Fill Tranparency area of the tape's layer to get a realistic look. Something to the point of 30%-40%, which is around the amount I used for the tape in that design, but adjusted each one differently in that range to accomendate the elements of the sublayers.

I made this in Photoshop CS (which PS7 can do it as well) , so that explaination refers to Photoshop techniques.
