DON'T DO IT
If you are considering signing up with Surpass, DON'T. I've had hours of downtime every day, with no end in sight. The Help Desk isn't doing anything except coming back, every day, with, "There was overload. It's over now," and then a few hours later... the same thing. I'm stuck, because I can't lose another weekend to transferring to another webhost.
Save yourselves. Walk away now.

I've had a good time with Surpass.
If you are having so much downtime, someone is probably abusing the server and not getting punished. That's the problem with Shared Hosting, not everyone should be on a shared environment. Try seeing if one of the admins can watch the server to see if they can catch what's causing the high load. |

That's funny, because I've had nothing but uptime at Surpass, and the help desk has always been helpful for me. It always depends on what server you're put on. You may be on one with plenty of abusers that Surpass has to find and suspend.
And of course, everybody has a different idea of how long is too long... Support has always helped me... I hope they can find out what's up with the server for you too. Surpass is really a great host, but as in almost every business, problems happens sometimes, they've got to happen to somebody.

I don't really see this fitting in Testimonials... they only talk about one side of the experience -- and there's nothing about timeframe of how long they've been having these problems (eg: how many days/weeks/months). It doesn't fit in Questions Before signing up either, but I'll leave it for now. The best I can tell is they signed up in February, and that's only from their forum sign-up date.

You are a part of the promotion. Did you put your businesses critical site on a dollar a year promotion hosting server? sh113 was rebooted recently I am guessing it was overloaded. We are combating and expecting a handful of abuse on these dollar a year hosting accounts and are doing everything within our power to resolve the issues as they arise. Trust me, we want these servers to have 100% uptime but it is a greater challenge then on regular shared servers. Our abuse and security team is working steadily. There is only so much that can be done. Please check the links in my signature for some important information you may not be aware of.
