Spam is Surpass'ed!

Corny title, i know, but it is meant to mean that... It seems that promotion did attract more than people interested in website hosting...

As it seems, there is a person passing off as a Verizon representive (via email address mask is pivc

verizon.com). So, I found that this was fake by lookign at the original email document (then was in Gmail) and found a server with a name I'm familiar with:

Oh, and by the way, I'm no newbie. I know how to report abuse to Surpass :-P Lets just hope that the person is not only banned from the network, but reported to authorities being they are trying to impersonate a coorperation.

I know, we can't stop it forever... no matter how many reports are done... but it is cleaning. It'll get dirty eventually, but cleaning reduces the amount in the outcome.

Not to mention the email is poorly written. You'd think someone would use a spelling/grammar check, but some people still fall for these scams so it doesnt really matter

did you report that spam to Kayla / support? They need to remove that user immediately.

I would be it's somebody's script that was exploited. unless that server is one of the newer ones, then it could just be a spammer signing up
