So what's the health of these drives like? I would assume not dieing, just not the 100% best they could be.

Only a month away from being down there.. maybe I could buy some and bring them back with me, if they're not already gone by then. I've filled my 1000gb that I already have

and whats the word on using these in dedicateds? Any administrative fee's for walking em down the hall and installing? lol

Another question i would have, is is it possible to add third hard drives and set up a system of external backups, such as dedi1 saves to dedi2 and dedi2 saves to dedi1? just redundancy in case a server becomes compromised?

If you are interested please email miguel.t surpasshosting.com We would much rather sell the 80's as we have tons of them, we will include free ground shipping for $25.00
Free ground shipping for $25, isn't that a oxymoron

btw, $60 for either sata or ide on the 200gb drives? or..?

Sorry for not updating, we will allow a 50% discount on these servers from retail prices to be used as backup drives for existing dedicated servers. This applies only to existing clients and not new clients.

Thanks for being with us, we appreciate your loyalty.

So for everyones information:

The retail price for an 80 GB HDD at Surpass Hosting is 150$ USD. (Thus 75$ for a used 80GB HDD)

A bit more pricey than 25$, but im still considering it lol. (the pocket book is a bit tight this month lol)
