please dont remind me...
Last night i decided to make a huge batch of spag sauce... still not entirely sure where i went wrong, ive made sauce countless times before, never with this effect... anyways, i make it the way i normally do, brown the beef, mix in tomatoe sauce. Add carrots, onions, spices, etc. Then I leave it on low low heat and simmer for a few hours, stirring occasionally. Im told this is the wrong way to do it, but from my experience this really brings out the flavour in the sauce. Anyways, left it on the burner as low as i could, did other stuff (not gonna stand and watch it for 4 hours lol) Anyways maybe 30 minutes after i added everything and stirred it, i think i was posting on here... anyways I went to stir it, and the whole batch was just ruined. I think i left it to high, cause there was a thick coat of dried tomatoe sauce covering the top and the stuff on the bottom was burnt lol Not sure if the burner was too high (flame), or if i made the batch too big for the size of the stove. either way i had to throw 2.5kg (5pounds?) of sauce away :'( |

Well, that just makes me sad. Tomato tears fall.
Sounds good though, for all the times it did work! A low simmer of beef and tomato sauce - yum. (I've never had it with carrots! Hmm. Interesting.)
