psh, I would expect surmunity to have a lower score than the main site... I guess none of us have the alexa toolbar though.

I put the little widget thing on my site a couple of weeks ago, It dropped from 3 million to 566,000 and counting.

GRRRRR, seriously i've only just realised how bad alexa is as an approximation of true ranking, watched an interview with Vanessa Fox (Google) and the interviewer just laughed at people who use alexa :P no offence meant as I was like wow check the alexa rank until the other day, how wrong I was!

But it does seem somewhat telling of what is going on...

In a way it does give you a clue but at the same time not really because its only based on people using alexa and is an extrapolation, considering I don't know anyone that uses alexa and its not well known in the Uk then...

I still use it to get a rough idea but don't base anything on it.

I don't know anyone who uses Alexa and would never even install it myself.

But it's still interesting how it measured how fast Twitter grew for example.

although alexa is severely flawed... IT IS THE ONLY THING.

Like Kayla said... it's good for seeing what's going on... it's nothing SOLID but it's the only thing available.
