It's the fact that a mac "out-of-the-box" outperformed the rest of the competition. The original article still holds merit. Even a PC fanboy would know that.

Windoze XP FTW!

I remember when I was gonna upgrade to Vista... in like... January.

And then, I never bought a copy... and now... I still haven't bought a copy. I think I'll stay like I are.

Good choice! Vista is like ME was... a stopgap. I'll hold out for the successor to Vista thank you very much!

Vista is a flop, it basically is Windows ME 2.0 - M$ should scrap it all together and release something that isn't garbage

And how do we know they've even tried the absolute fastest out-of-the-box pc available?

I know that they're a tech magazine, and they get a lot of hardware. But I just feel like it's very easy to just jump on news that agrees with you without looking at it realistically.

I'm a liberal- but I can't read the liberal news sources cause they're just as sensationalist in my direction.

The mac story is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Oh and although I feel that Vista certainly isn't ready to be live like it is (3 minutes to copy a 10 kb file?!?) I'd say comparing it to ME is just cruel. Vista may not work well, but at least it doesn't blue screen [as much]. I'd say vista is like a .4 upgrade from XP. It's got some good features- they just weren't done well.

there is a fix available for that file copying issue. I guess I should be fair, XP sucked also until SP2

I'll stick with XP Pro till I move away from Winblows.

Perhaps get sorta name sake or Linux.

I enjoyed ME. My first desktop was ME, and it worked wonderfully for a long time. It never blue screened or anything. Of course, I do think I'm the only person in the world that actually got along with ME.
