[Discuss] Blog Post : Video Editing
Discuss this blog post here or on the blog comments:
[Blog] The Video Editing Series Begins We want to explain everything as easily as possible and are looking for any expert advice you may have. My idea is to create enough useful information that we can then compile everything learned into a guide. But at the same time, it's for fun also. ![]()

Posted as a comment on the blog as well.
Quicktime Pro is so worth it. But in Premiere Pro, go to File > Export > Adobe Media Encoder. Now you can export in every possible format you can imagine! You can also choose different presets for formats for web streaming. You can even export it as an FLV if it will be uploaded straight to YouTube or a similar site. That way the video site doesn't have to transcode it. It's ready to play as it is. Booyah!

Avid used to have a free version but they discontinued it (Never did like Avid much even though it's what all the big people use)
Jahshaka's supposed to be good. I've never used it myself: jahshaka.org - Home iMovie if you've got a Mac I've also seen Wax mentioned a few places: Wax - [ Homepage ] I actually bought a domain the other day to start some filmmaker forums, but haven't been able to work on it much: FilmBoards.org • Index page

I like having Quicktime Pro. Easy to grab any video by right clicking on it online. That's pretty much all I use it for.
