That's one of the reasons why I buy real CD's - the album art, lyrics, etc.
I dunno, I'm a bit biased about it. I usually will only buy CD's by Australian artists and download international. I love Australian music, and at least I'm supporting their industry by buying their stuff?

I will admit I did buy a CD last year from one of my favorite bands. It included a signed poster since I was one of the first few to buy. That's one of the only reasons I'll buy an actual CD

Meh, music artist are making bank regardless if we buy their stuff or not. Just recently I heard that Jay-Z (US rap artist) makes 20 million ever album he drops (makes). Its like are you really serious? I think we need to really stop wasting so much money on the entertainers and more on the educators. (this is going to a random yet relative rant) I feel that instead of wasting our money to entertainers, we should really be giving it to those who taught how to speak, read, and write. Without them we would be nothing. =(

Never bought anything from iTunes.. course much of that had to with the fact that Apple was our competition (previous employer). I do still buy CDs though if I find a band or artist I like. Watched a few videos of Bond songs and summarily bought every CD of theirs to burn MP3s and such from in the quality that I wanted. 4 hot chicks playing crossover classical music on stringed instruments.. can't beat that! LOL
![]() Last one I bought was around Christmas though... I do buy a few every year for my sister... speaking of which, tomorrow is her Birthday.

My ex-boyfriend is a musician and through him I experienced how difficult it is to get ahead in the music industry. I also have two family members that are in semi-successful Australian bands that are struggling to make a profit.

With a discography like this -- Jay-Z discography - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia -- did you really think that Jay-Z is spending his days in "da hood"? Quote:
a) Increase taxes so that teachers get a raise b) Buy a CD from their favorite musician The fact is that famous entertainers are always going to make more money than teachers, firefighters, policemen, etc. It's a simple case of supply and demand. Millions of people can teach high school Algebra, but only Jay-Z can make his unique music. With that in mind, I don't think we'll ever live in a world where you have teachers who earn $20 million a year...
