Honestly, I think Facebook did the better copying here. Applications are hated by a lot of people on Facebook, but I think chat is generally less obtrusive (eg: you can completely block it) and more useful.

^ That's true....with Facebook do you have to download the chat client like you have to with Myspace? I've never used the Myspace one because of that...waste of time. AIM and MSN are enough for me.

no, there's a toolbar at the bottom of the screen that you can use to chat when you login. You can also set it as a pop up version that just lets you have it in a separate window. I think it's all AJAX, not a separate program.

Yeah, I opened it and it was just simple AJAX search kind of similar to the one in GMail.

I like the new facebook chat. It's pretty nifty.

I seriously want to kill application invitations! They are very annoying.
Actually this little bubble with the chat on the side is annoying me too.

I am enjoying accumulating such a long list of application requests. I want it to get as long as possible.
