I do watch dvd's and movies on my computer more then my tv right now. I also want a new LCD tv, but I think that one is waiting until I get a job...

I'm waiting on my brother to weigh in on what would be better...

And Roxy, I'm not going to stop talking about it until I get my squishy cow. He promised me a squishy cow!

I know you'll probably give me examples from places like Newegg or whatever, and that's fine, but some places I'm looking at:
Future Shop -- some of their monitors are actually surprisingly decently priced.
Canada Computers - Good computer store, got my computer parts there and my boyfriends
Best Byte - Used to be my computer store of choice, but mostly just referenced to compare prices

One thing I'm thinking right now, is would it be better to just get a 22" based on a cost perspective? It seems to be that they are roughly $200 less than a 24"... as much as I want a 24" (my brother has one), I could also buy a new hard drive if I save the money from the monitor purchase... not to mention, I will probably need to get a second graphics card if I want to use dual monitors or something. I'm not sure exactly how that would work with my current setup...

Alternatively, I was looking at this Dell monitor because it's similar to the one my brother has. I know everyone hates Dell, but I dont' care. lol

Anyways, input is awesome!
Opera gives me a fraud warning when I go to those dell links. That should tell you something

Oh- and I agree with H. Don't go in between 20 and 24. Just go all the way to 24 if you want big (Supports 1920 x 1200)

I ended up buying this one:
Future Shop: Computers: Monitors: LG 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor (W2252TQ) - Black

My brother advised me to stay with 22" so not to kill my video card. Particularly since I want to run dual monitors. I'm very happy with it. Though I notice I am one of those crazy people that always runs everything fullscreen, even when there's enough room to run them windowed. I am the queen of the alt-tab though. It's making dual-booting WoW quite fun.

You would think so H. But I doubt that habit will ever be gone.

I think my brother forgot to get me a DVI cable from work... stupid FS guy told me that it would come with one in the monitor box. Obviously it didn't. And to think, he could have sold me one... Silly Future Shop boys.

XP required: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

Trust me... I only use the Mac equivalent to alt+tab when my spaces are poorly managed.

Linking directly to a .exe means I'm definitely not going to check it out. And really, I prefer to run things a certain way. There would be no way for me to run everything like I want to, and avoid alt-tabbing. Why should I change that when it doesn't interfere with me getting anything done? Should I be playing WoW in a small, 800x600 resolution now, so that I can have Surmunity up in an equally small window, just so I don't have to alt-tab between the two? We're not talking about rocket science here where I have to be looking at all things simultaneously. Yeah, part of the reason to have dual monitors means that WoW and Firefox will be open in different spaces, but I'd still alt tab between different Firefox windows, since I don't see a reason to have each window smaller just so I can see them all at once.
