guess what?! i might as well say!
(wow, me typing in lowercase letters? what's wrong with me - i do not know. but it's fun for a change. and this is The Sofa)
i had broken retainers (as in no wires) behind my teeth for a long time (3 years long enough?) and my teeth shifted a lot. so finally i got braces this morning, i have to wear them til DECEMBER. LOL. that is all. please do not look directly at my mouth. although they promised me they were clear, they are quite visible. now i count the days. the upside- i feel like i am 15 again. let's go to the movies. but no candy for me. great, i just realized i didn't take some wax off of one of the back wires before i had lunch. i ate it. |

Si. I need braces just on my bottom teeth... can you get them only on the bottom? Or do you have to do both top and bottom?

yeah, the problem is though I still have baby teeth up top, lol. I have this fear of such strong metals being stuck to my baby teeth. But I guess baby teeth are just as strong as adult teeth...just smaller?

I had braces for 5 years back in late the 70's to early 80's, don't recall exact date/time frame.

Eat some cheetos or some oreos, smile, and take a picture :-D
Had braces from 82-85.. however started seeing the ortho when I was 5 (in '74). I have really BIG teeth, and they had to remove 4 permanent teeth before I got my braces. Also have a wicked class 3 underbite.. (think Bruce Springsteen). When I was done with braces, the underbite was under control, however it went back by the time I was done with college. Now, my only choice is to go back to braces for 2 years, and THEN have surgery where they break your jaw, and realign your bite. SO, given the choice of 6 months of braces.. I'd take it...
