what is the craziest money you have ever spent?

i cant believe the money im contemplating on spending here. first of all im a big buffalo bills fan and we have them coming to Toronto for a preseason game and one regular game.

a few years ago i had a line on some u2 tickets for their last tour. i wanted to take my daughter for some cultural enhancement and having seen u2 a few times way back when tix were $20 each.. actually debated hitting the button to pay $ 540 for a pair .. then decided against it.

last year a pair of tickets for madonna in montreal .. not that im a big fan but knew that there was a high degree of professionalism in her show.. a spectacle were going to be 800 for the pair. i thought about that and realized i probably wouldnt pay that much for a couple of hours of madonna in my hotel room so i negated that.

Now, i take a look at buying a pair of tickets for the two games in toronto. fairly good seats but for the 2 game package....$2200!!!!!!!!! this isnt the the superbowl .. this is a preseason game and a regular season against MIAMI?????? Hopefully all these increases in CC limits dont give me some false sense of wealth to go for this. this addiction to SIRIUS NFL NETWORK might be a lot pricier that i thought!

the craziest amount of money ever spent....? Not including sports...

2005 was an interesting year:

Well hmm... I took a friend for his birthday to a Nuggets/Laker game and the tickets were $860 a piece. I'm not big sports fan at all but going to games, no matter the sport, is always fun. The total bill for the entire night including the tickets was almost two thousand dollars.

That year, 2005, I spent a lot of money on things that nobody needs when I should have reinvested it in myself. Now I know what not to do

Can't say I've ever spent any crazy money on anything.. The most money I've ever spent was the down payment on my car. $4,000 cash in 20's.

Hmmm...
All at once or over time? I've spent loads of money on anime and manga (60 DVDs at ~$25 a piece and 123 manga at ~$10 a piece).

For all at once, I spent $500 for a Wii and Wii accessories. Not sure if that's crazy to other people, but it's currently serving as an expensive dust collector atop our media cabinet.
