I know there's a new one of these microblog things popping up daily and they all are just a bad remake of Twitter, but I heartily recommend checking out Rejaw.

It's big draw is that you can comment on posts (or shouts), but as it uses AJAX it's more like a realtime chat.

This is all the rage right now! Micro-blog meets real-time chat.
The community is great, the developers aren't strangers and actually speak to you, new features seem to be implemented everyday. Guests can even reply to your "shouts", as they are called, without being required to have an account.

Wait... a bad remake of Twitter? Do they have multiple daily outages too?

Twitter is basically the epiphany of unreliable web services. It's down so much they had to make a "cutsie" error page.

I didn't care for twitter myself either. It's down far too much to even bother using.

Since when did topic matter on this forum? And if anything, we're encouraging people to check out Rejaw by pointing out the weaknesses in other micro-blogging platforms.

Twitter bashing is the fad along-side of admitting Vista isn't "that bad", and that while the Wii sells a lot of consoles, it barely sells any third-party titles.
