Mobile Version of Helpdesk

Is there a mobile version of the helpdesk? If there isn't will their ever be in the future?

I'm just curious as I have a new mobile blackberry smartphone and there might be such a time when I am away from home and need to submit a ticket.

This isn't a HUGE deal but it would be cool!

Thanks!

I found this in a search: https://desk.surpasshosting.com/pda/ but it's only available for staff (internal use). According to the post, someone asked Support about it, and they were working with the software vendor to allow public access. No updates came after that, and it was in July 2006.

I started a thread at some point about getting a mobile theme for the forums, because I would use it all the time on my phone, but I can't seem to find the thread now. I know there were a few people that liked the idea, and I think Dan said he would look into it, but I never heard about it again.

Depending on your Blackberry you should just be able to go to the normal URL and get to the helpdesk without much issue. That's what I do on my Windows Mobile smartphone and it works fine. I just have to scroll around on the screen a lot.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 (I was gonna get the storm but i hate touch screens) and I can go to the helpdesk just fine but when I attempt to login to it then it doesn't work quite so well.

Anyways just figured i would suggest it.

I agree, it works, it's just a pain. Although I haven't used it on my phone since they rethemed it to match the main site. So I'm not sure how it looks now.

I too am stuck between the Curve and the Storm. I have Qwest, so they're trying to make us switch to Verizon sooner rather than later, and they're offering the Curve as the free transition handset from my PPC 6700. But I like what I see of the storm. I just have to get some hands on time with it before I make my final decision.

I wanted to get the Storm, but I'm still bound to this agreement for another year. Hope that by then they might have even better phones.

We are pushing our mobile client tools development cycles forward next week in addition to other client and staff tools we are working on. Big development team meeting and our regular support team 7am meeting .

Matt ported the server status page over to a mobile stylesheet earlier this week, Server Status by Surpass Hosting
We were waiting to do more work to release details but I guess this thread is enough to give that peek. We are working on more mobile monitoring (MMM) and mobile DECC access for dedicated clients then will do the desk and other service functions. I'm not sure if Kayako has a mobile plugin/version but I want to say yes they do.

Happy holiday everyone

Thanks for the great update! I hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving.

I added that link to my list of mobile websites on my own simple version of Twist3d.net Mobile

Looking forward to when we have mobile support for the helpdesk.

Thanks!
