Hurray! My laptop crashed! :)
Asus x83v giving me a session manager blue screen problem...but since it flys by faster than Superman being pushed by Keanu Reeves, it's hard to determine what all it says...and nothing boots...fun. So...off to repair, if possible. Otherwise it's wipe time. Good thing it's not a month old. Oh wait, it is!
By the way, checked the memory...no issues. Had a windows update last night, rebooted fine. Now it has decided it hates my face.

Thank you repair disc, for you are awesome. Backup time. Apparently the update did cause the startup issue.

Couple things- you can disable restart on bluescreen to read the gibberish, but it's usually pointless. Disable Restarts
Second- If it wasn't a consistent blue screen, probably an update issue. But I would run a HDD test just in case. If the blue screen keeps coming back, may be a hardware problem. HDD Fitness test

The repair cd told me it was a patch preventing startup. From what I could see, it was the same blue screen over and over again.
Thanks for the disable restarts link. I knew about it, just never disabled it.

I woke up this morning to my laptop not booting up either. It was fine last night, so I assume a windows update caused it?

Hmmm, which windows are you guys using? My PC went down this morning, but, the laptop stayed up just fine, after several reboots (installing software today, joy). Hooray for image disks
