Right past "spybot teatimer" and other free stuff.

With Avast, that's not happened ever again, not on any of our family PC's.
Better safe than sorry. Also, firefox + noscript + cookiesafe is amazing

Nothing at the moment, I'm afraid to say. Downloading AVG as we speak.

Teatimer drives me nuts when something bad is on the system. I had Vundo on my computer once and Teatimer went freaking bananas. It stopped it from doing anything, but it continued to launch the alerts over and over again like mad.

If I ran Internet explorer to browse, I'd fear that too. With opera, I haven't ever had such a problem.

When I had Vundo on my computer, Opera was the only one not affected by the virus.

I have no need for them unless there is a problem.
That's once every 2-3 years across 12 systems and 6 users.

When I have to fix a clients system on issues they can not fix their self.
- AVG (free)
- Trend Micro HouseCall - Free Online Virus and Spyware Scan - Trend Micro USA (free)
- ccleaner utility (free)
- hijackthis utility (free)
- spybot search and destroy (free)
- ProcessExplorerNt (free)

I do not run things in background, its a waste of resources.
