D9, D13, and D32 : Move and Upgrade
D9, D13 and D32
Accounts on these servers are being transferred tonight from NJ, into servers here in our data center in Orlando, FL. The new servers are also better and faster to handle the growth of these reseller servers, the new specs are: Dual 2.4GB Xeon Processors 2 GBs of RAM We are doing this at night because massive file transfers like this can slow the server down a bit, and there is less traffic right now. However, you shouldn't notice anything drastic. The only action you will need to perform is if you use custom DNS for your site or your client sites. We will announce the IPs you will need to use on March 18, 2004. On that day, you must change the IPs of your custom DNS so that your sites can begin to resolve to the new servers here. The original servers will of course be left up for two weeks or more, in case any files do not transfer, you can still access them, or we can for you. This should all be very seamless. However, if your site uses a database daily, support can transfer your database to the new server if any records are missing because of the DNS propagation. If you have any other questions about this, please send an email to support surpasshosting.com or ask us here on the forum in Reseller Support. |
