Googles talked about email service that is still in beta? Well I just signed up for an account. I can't wait to see just how cool it is . I really like it when things pop up and ask me if I want to test things... yeah.

how did you end up with an account? where on earth did you find an extra invitation laying around? I have searched high and low for them. hey, if you know of any, can you hook me up?

bigjohn, I too have as much room as I need for email, but I do like to have at least one email account not connected to my websites, and I hate yahoo and hotmail. Though I run a yahoo account right now. I'll get my hands on one of them sometime.

I got one because I use http://blogger.com to transfer things to my web blog. Once I signed in to make a post it was right on the front page for me to beta test the new service. I just clicked yes and followed the steps to sign up. So I think you need to sign up for blogger and then sign up for gmail.... then you can sign in athttp://gmail.google.com. I hope it does the same for you as it did for me... and sorry to keep you waiting!

it's ok... I'll check that out. though I doubt that they have it anymore since I'm sure they would have had a lot of people trying it out. Gmail would be pretty sweet...

I hate hotmail, yahoo, and I'm sure that with the advertisements that GOOGLE will throw at you, I'll hate Gmail too.

I used to have altavista mail... but they folded their portal.

So, now i have my ISP and my website. That's all the email addresses that I need.

well, I really can't stand comcast's email service, it's basically junk. as far as ads go with gmail, all they do is put the google adwords on the side of the window. nothing intrusive. I've seen some screenshots of it. very clean layout and everything. it's quite nice.

by the way, I checked into that blogger thing, nothing. they don't have anything on that site anywhere about anything remotely close to gmail. when did you get the invite?
