Was the DC down?

Hey I had trouble accessing my site (even the surpass site) for more than 4 hours today...

Glad to see you guyz back online... What happened?

They mailed me this :

There are currently network connectivity issues. We have everything in place to prevent DDOS attacks, we have enough bandwidth to push it back and the router configurations to do so. We have had some in the past months that no one even noticed because of what we have in place. Any network does.
Except this morning there is apparently something else wrong with the picture, maybe something wrong with the router. Our techs are in the DC fighting this and I have no doubt this will be resolved very soon.
