Except there is a problem with that. I don't think most people know what a reseller is, especially if it's someone just now moving into a real host (ie. not Tripod or Geocities). Yr Host isn't a reseller, but they use a template. Using a template to save time and focus on more of your business seems like it makes a lot of sense.

I still say that getting ideas from templates is a good way to get your creativity going, rather than just sitting and waing for the Idea Fairy to show up, who incidentally won't visit my house any more because she says I suck.

Again... isn't my site, if you look on news it said the forum was taken down. The idea fairy is cool and she's super pretty ^^ so who wouldnt want her to come?!!

also they probabily will know what a reseller is because the term doesn't just apply to web hosting, reselling is reselling and you can't notch that, theres plenty of sites telling beginner buyers all about them anyway, as if the "reselling package" on webhosts wasnt a big enough clue to begin with

And i dont think when somone searches for web hosting and gets that same web template on about 20 sites their going to feel safe when buying from them? lol

Also how do you focus more on the buisness if you payed/got a template? your still going to have to mod that template, it's more time consuming if you didn't make it.

Before starting out you should have your "business strategy" sorted, so you should be focusing on a reliable layout and site dynamics to make your visiters go wow, and make your life and theirs easy. What alot of these web template dont take into consideration is 56k users... lol i think that lovly 500k flash header is really gonna attract your more audiance.

What i could also add is that text links provide better advertisment than any banner ads etc... so a really flash chunky page isn't exactly your gold mine to attracting visters.

My 2 cents on the matter.

Also i never said there was nother wrong with getting ideas from templates. i've done it, every designer's done it, no trade secret there. It like this: how can you draw an angel without first getting the idea/ image from somwhere else??

I was just saying to the Wow that you shouldnt be so "wowed"...

I like it better than the other one you showed us. The only thing that seems out of place to me is the very top grey bar. How will this be placed on the page? centered?

ya, it will be centered, im gonna work on it today if I get a chance, ill post it again with my improvements, atleast its a start of something, I think it will turn out alright when im done.... I hope anyway

any suggestion on another color I could use with this design?

Dark blue + grey = Cool. I like the color scheme now
