Add to the original list:
Graphic Converter ( http://www.lemkesoft.com ) - a great tool and for many a Photoshop replacement. It opens pretty much everything and will save as anything. The registered version has awesome batch conversion options. As for a newsreader, I'm a longtime fan of MT-Newswatcher. I use Transmit for FTP but I'm not married to it - it simply doesn't suck enough for me to buy something else. ![]()

When I saw the EG posted on this thread, I just KNEW what his comment would be.
So, EG, does trolling work well for you? ![]() Got any new specs from your 'Stang? What is her top speed? Have you been to the Salt Flats yet? |

I'm a big fan of BBEdit, but I also use PageSpinner to hand-roll my site. Optima Systems, the makers of PageSpinner, are really, really responsive. (Just like the good folks here at Surpass!) And it's $35 or some such. I got it way back when it was just $20, but that was 1998 or some such. I've been using it for a long time.
They've kept up with my (meager) skills, too, since they've introduced PHP color coding and hints, just about 6 months after I started to play with it. When I just PHP alone, I still tend to use BBEdit, but when I mix the XHTML and PHP, PageSpinner does a very nice job. Whew! I went on about that for too long, eh? That's what happens when I don't post in a long while.
