Transfering a backup to a new plan
Well Surpass has a backup from a previous site I had and ive since purchased a new plan.
1. I signed up with the new plan under a different domain as the one I was using before will expire soon and I have no intention of renewing it Basically what I had done was put an add-on domain within the previous account. I have now used that "add-on" domain as the home domain for my new plan. So for example, the site was run out of /home/site instead of /home/ Now if I were to put the backup in place, everything would be like it used to.. but the directory /home/site I would want to be in the home directory. I am currently using Zencart in that directory, so if I just moved everything in my /site directory to my /home wouldn't there be conflicts in the coding? Same applies to the databases used in zencart, how would I properly move those over without causing conflicts. Edit - my current ticket #SZJ-918986 Ive tried my best to explain my situation here and I hope somebody actually understands what im trying to do here :P Thanks guys and gals! Great job, I can't thank you enough. I replied to the ticket with one last thing. Other then that I just have to wait for the DNS to update and everything should be good to go.THANKS! |
